Podcasts
Thanks to Steve Jobs and the fine people at Apple, we have the iPod©, and thus the "podcast". A podcast, simply put, is any program that can be downloaded onto a portable device and listened to and/or watched at theuser's leisure.
These days, podcasts are produced on a regular basis to inform clients, potential clients, or staff about happenings in a particular field. As relevant as keeping a web site up to date, a podcast is used to stay in contact with people who want to decide when and how they get the message. Not unlike a Digital Video Recorder, the recipient can absorb as much or as little of the material they want, when they want to.
